Mormon missions, movements established by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in which its Mormon missionaries proselytize.
The geographic region they proselytize in is also called a Mission

Missions or Missões (in Portuguese) is a term used to refer to a historical region of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil and also to a group of mission communities established by Jesuit priests (see Paraguayan born Padre Roque Gonzales de Santa Cruz) in the sixteen hundreds among the ancient Guarani people who inhabited and continue inhabiting (although in much smaller numbers) the region today. There were seven of these missions on what is today's Brazilian territory. Presently a few mission ruins still remain standing and are being preserved; the best example being São Miguel das Missões)
