Albert Einstein () (March 14, 1879April 18, 1955) was a German-Jewish theoretical physicist widely regarded as the most important scientist of the 20th century and one of the greatest physicists of all time.e.g. p. 52, "Albert Einstein, the greatest scientist of the twentieth century and one of the supreme intellects of all time..." He formulated the special and general theories of relativity; moreover, he made significant contributions to quantum mechanics, statistical mechanics, and cosmology. He was awarded the 1921 Nobel Prize for Physics for his explanation of the photoelectric effect in 1905 (his "wonderful year") and "for his services to Theoretical Physics."

After British solar eclipse expeditions in 1919 confirmed that light rays from distant stars were deflected by the gravity of the Sun in the amount he had predicted in his theory of relativity, Einstein became world-famous, an unusual achievement for a scientist. In his later years, his fame perhaps exceeded that of any other scientist in history. In popular culture, his name has become synonymous with great intelligence and genius.

Mesonic eightfold way from dynamics and confinement in strongly coupled lattice quantum chromodynamics
Antonio Francisco Neto, Michael O'Carroll, and Paulo A. Faria da Veiga We show the existence of all the 36 eightfold way mesons and determine their masses and dispersion curves exactly, from dynamical first principles such as directly from the quark-fluon dynamics. We also give a proof of confinement below the two-meson energy threshold. For this purpose, we consider a ... [J. Math. Phys. 49, 072301 (2008)] published Thu Jul 3, 2008.
Long-time self-similar asymptotic of the macroscopic quantum models
Hai-Liang Li, Guo-Jing Zhang, Min Zhang, and Chengchun Hao The unipolar and bipolar macroscopic quantum models derived recently, for instance, in the area of charge transport are considered in spatial one-dimensional whole space in the present paper. These models consist of nonlinear fourth-order parabolic equation for unipolar case or coupled nonlinear fou ... [J. Math. Phys. 49, 073503 (2008)] published Wed Jul 2, 2008.
Harmonic oscillator chains as Wigner quantum systems: Periodic and fixed wall boundary conditions in [fraktur g][fraktur l](1|n) solutions
S. Lievens, N. I. Stoilova, and J. Van der Jeugt We describe a quantum system consisting of a one-dimensional linear chain of n identical harmonic oscillators coupled by a nearest neighbor interaction. Two boundary conditions are taken into account: periodic boundary conditions (where the nth oscillator is coupled back to the first oscillator) and ... [J. Math.
